Sense in the City Paris

The inspiration for the Sense in the City Project. Written by Ruby Boukabou and published in 2019, the book is described as a ‘Personal Guide Book’, but it is so much more.

As people spend more time in front of screens, large and small, they lose the ability to experience a city with all senses – which for a city like Paris means missing out on a lot.

From cemetery’s to hypnotherapy and everything in between, journey with your imagination through Paris using all of your senses.

Reviews

“Simply put, this book gets me excited to visit and experience Paris on a much deeper level. It engages my imagination as it explains how to explore the city’s cultural, culinary, musical and historical sides using my senses. I want to sip a glass of fine French wine as I look over the Seine from Le Perchoir Marais rooftop bar, or stroll up to Sacre-Coeur on the Montmartre Walk, or smell the fresh flowers at Marche des Enfants Rouges or immerse myself in the jazz scene. This is an insider’s guide to great experiences in Paris.
Boukabou is a gifted writer and I hope this is the first in a series on great cities around the world.”
